Unablr to Save to External HD

I have a maxtor external HD, only used 10Gb of the 500GB.

I can read whats on and delete files, but I'm unable to save to the drive.

I can do the formentioned via a PC so the drive is fine, I'm missing something simple on a access issue with my mac, can anyone advise.

THat worked thanks, but very strange I have been saving to it for months and then when I moved house it stoped.
