MBP 2.33ghz 2 Gb RAM 160GB 17" Glossy...
I have been told that crucial is a good brand for upgrade for a MBP?? I am wondering if it is equally as good as gskill or a better manufacturer?? Also since my particular MBP is only expandable to 3gb, would replacing one of the one gb chips for a 2gb be a big deal since they are not paired??? I have been told not really, especially since i am figuring that 3gb is better than 2gb even if the chips aren't paired.

thanks-

Crucial, Kingston, Patriot, OCZ, Corsair, Mushkin and OWC's ram (www.macsales.com) are all good. I've heard of gskill but never seen any reason to buy it over brands I know and trust.

And 3GB in single channel mode will be better in real-world applications than 2GB in dual channel mode would, yes.
