Well if thats the way you feel about it then I guess I am certainly not going to change your mind. I just hope you're not one of those pointless lawsuits I see on the news. I think DB already summed up how I feel about it below.

A debate's purpose is not necessarily to change someone's mind.

Actually, no. Nor any type of piracy for that matter. Some of us pay for our wants.

Well come arrest me for downloading music. I don't care what anybody thinks of me. I guess at the end of the day I'm lame then. How will I sleep tonight knowing that cops are coming to my house to get me for downloading music. Hold on let me log into Limewire and get some more so they can get me on more charges. Whatever, stop being a Mark for the Record Industry.

I honestly can't believe this thread is being allowed to continue. I realize people are discussing the merits of illegal downloads and not necessarily "how to" (except for the guy who recommended Limewire to the OP), but some time ago I posted a thread to discuss how CNET had an article on how to run OS X on a PC and I wanted to discuss the merits of that and my thread was shut down cold and I got reprimanded by a moderator.

Agreed.

Whatever your personal beliefs on piracy are, the law is clear and so is our policy on discussing illegal activity.

If you want to discuss this sort of stuff, keep it non-specific.
