external HD issue

Your Mac's Specs
13.3" white macbook. 2 GHz Core 2 Duo. 160GB. 2GB memory, and giving leapord a second chance.
i connect a external sea gate hard drive from time to time, either to back up files, or bring some out of archive.. but i just plugged it into my macbook, and its telling me the drive is protected or something?

has anyone seen anything like this.

on my PC's, i can just plug it in, and it recognizes it like a flash drive.

nevermind.. it has to do with how the drive was formated. i followed up in another thread that is currently being discussed.
