heyyo,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but can the macbooks support DDR 800?

I was looking at the pre-installed 2gb ram on the apple site..and for 667 its 150 dollars, as where i can get 2x1gb ram with DDR2 800 for just 95 dollars.

thanks

Don't buy RAM from the apple site. I'm sure you will find 667Mhz RAM on so many websites out there...

Also, are you sure that 800Mhz RAM is for laptops (SODIMM)?

haha yeah i noticed on new egg that the ram sticks were a bit cheaper

and i'm not 100% on if it is for laptops or not...
i'm doing some finding out though.

oh btw thanks for telling me about the SODIMM...
i take it thats the only type that laptops use since they're smaller compared to a DIMM,
which makes sense! =]

so this is what i found
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=MacBook 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (13-inch White)

i went to the crucial site and typed in the spec for the computer...
look good?
and around half the price as on the apple site =]

Other users have given a good review of Crucial RAMs. I recommend that you go for it. You can also go to YouTube and search for MacBook RAM installation. There are several video tips on how to install RAM in your MacBook.
