how to chnage trackpad acceleration

i just got a macbook but i feel like it accelerates too slowly for me.
is there any way to change it?

Go to your System Preferences and open up the Keyboard and Mouse option. You can find the trackpad acceleration option in there.

I think "tracking speed" is the acceleration.

It's definitely acceleration, and not speed. Meaning, the pointer moves faster as your finger moves faster, and slower as your finger moves slower.

There is no way to set the speed faster (pointer moves faster even though your finger moves slower) which, when you think about it, doesn't make much sense. It also makes for skittish, imprecise movement.
