Flickering Billionth Thread

today I got back my computer from service for the flickering issue
This is my 2nd time sending it in for flickering. The 1st time I sent it in I was flicker free for about a month. So today I get it back and I read that they changed the inverter. I get on it, not even 40 minutes later I notice a very slight flicker.

I dont know what to do at this point, I might call my solicitor see what he has to say.

I may be wrong, but I I've heard that if you take you computer in 3 times and they can't fix it, they'll just replace it with a new one.

Mine is starting to flicker alot too now. First problem I've had with my blackbook since I bought it. Too bad i already got it for more than a year so im screwed as far as warranty goes...If it gets really bad ill take it to the genius bar and see what they say.

yea i heard this too
when the specialist calls me to check up on my repair, should I imply that he should send me a new one? or should I just wait and see if he offers to replace it?

The other day I noticed that my wife's blackbook has developed a flicker. It happens when the battery saving screen dimmer thing kicks in. I asked her about it and she said "yeah, it always does that". I told her that was most definitely not normal and I'll need to take it in. It's still under the one year warrantee, and we have an Apple store reasonably within reach.

We'll see how that goes..I'm pretty sure that it's going to be pretty reliably demonstratable to the tech.

Hmm, guess I better get on the web to make an appointment at the genius bar.

Sp I bet you're glad you didn't get all upity and call your lawyer. ;D

I have taken mine in twice too, so one more strike and maybe I'll get upgraded too.

but yea looks like this case turned out good for me

also with my replacement, I was qualified for the $10 leapord
I allready ordered!

Its actually a law in some states, like new jersey (lemon law). If a product has to be repaired for the same problem 3 times and it is still in need of repair then said product is a lemon under the law and needs to be replaced free of charge to the customer.
