best free dvd burner for mac?

does anyone know the best free dvd burner for macbook pro? i tried a few but there just crap i currently have burn but when i burned a movie on it and put it in my dvd player a played fine for a minute but then it went way out of sync. i burned it as a mpg is there another burner thats better or did i do something wrong pls help!!!!!!

Which software did you use to create that DVD? If you haven't tried yet, go for iDVD. Or even Toast does a good playable DVD..

i have i dvd but it's not a home movie i'm burning it's a backup movie and and the burner i used is called burn it was freeware
