I was hoping someone could help me with this question.

I currently have an external hard drive that connects with firewire, I haven't bought the Airport extreme router yet but I'm very interested in being able to hook up an external drive to it. Only problem is that it's a USB connection (I much prefer the transfer rates of firewire, but hey, can't have it all I guess). Is there some sort of adapter I can use to connect it ? Or should I just write to apple and tell them they should add a firewire port (basically forget about it now, or buy a USB external hard drive...).

Many thanks for your help

I have an external usb hooked up to the Airport, and it works real nice. Not as fast but real convenient.

You can get a firewire to USB cable, but they don't seem to be any too cheap...

But you will still only get USB-speed, or?
