I know I'm pretty new member here to the forum, but I've already become annoyed with the flood of threads from members asking about upgrading to Leopard. It seems every time I hit the "Get New" button for new threads, there is at least 5 different threads talking about the same thing.

Guys and gals, there are already numerous threads posted that go into detail about the release date, the operating system itself, upgrading, and the recent Mac OS X Leopard Up-to-Date Program.

Please do the Moderators a favor and use the search button. This forum has tons of useful information, some of which requires a little digging.

Would it be trite to say it's too late and the cat (Leopard actually) is out of the bag? O:)

If you're annoyed now, wait till people actually GET Leopard. That's a whole new can of worms we're gonna have "fun" with...

I can only imagine... Good thing I'm not a moderator, because I would be deleting threads left and right.

I have to give you guys props for the way you all maintain your composure when dealing with cloned threads.

That would be fantastic. Although it may stop many repeat threads, I'm sure there will be a few ignorant new users that don't take the time to do a little research.

I think the best solution is to just bury threads like that, and make 'em find the answers the hard way:Angry-Tongue:

12 years ago when I was the technical services manager of an Acorn main dealer we had a saying RTM. There are a lot of posts that fit into that catagory although the operating systems are a lot more complex now and often it is not obvious.

Heh. I got banned for giving someone a similar acronym as an answer here. I was being rather obnoxious about it though.
