Hey guys,

Just thought I'd ask about and see what everyone was on and perhaps paying..

I work for BigPond and naturally hate their service and caps lol.

Im on a 20M/1M ADSL+2 plan caped at 60gig @ $149.95 p/m

Anyone got any good suggestion's for ISP's prices and plan's that have or have used they can reccomend?

$150 a month for internet? Unless its so fast it can deliver me an egg roll from China and still be hot, no download speed seems like it'd be worth $150 a month.
Mine is $60 and way over priced. I have Comcast Cable and I think it caps at 8Megs. It was $35 a month for the first 6 months but not that I pay full price the loading times are slower!
I will be moving in a few months and I will probably buy it again. There are only two other choices and they're both DSL. I've had a cable connection for 6 or 7 years now and couldn't switch back. Nor do I want to have ATT as my DSL provider.

I pay $50/month for up to 5mbps cable, I usually get around 2-3mbps, so its not bad. But I'm in the US, so it won't help you.

I'm in the 3rd world.

600kbps, around $110/month.

That's duplex (600 up/down), with a fixed IP so I can run a webserver. It's not too bad, as I'm paying a bit extra for a business contract, and the 600 is pretty consistent.

30gb / month, after which I get throttled. No extra charges.

8/1 ADSL here, (~900KB/s downstream, 105KB/s upstream) for a 44.50 € a month. That's the fastest available where I live (basically in the middle of nowhere). 20 km from here would be faster connections. :|

I use a 20 Mbps cable in the UK from virgin Media (used to be NTL) and the price is £30 (~US$60) per month. there are no bandwidth caps and i'm quiet happy with it. They use traffic shaping thou so if one downloads more than 3GB a day the bandwidth will be cut to half, sometimes annoying but alright for the moment.

I have an ADSL connection in the UK 6.5 Mbits . It is part of a combined telephone line, calls and internet package which I pay £35 ish for with maybe £5 of calls and £13 for just the phone line it is about £17 for the internet which is about $33 approx

There are faster options for those who have cable but it is not available everywhere and unless you are downloading films etc I cannot see why 6.5Mbits would not be enough (for now!)

100 Mb/s capped at 10 gigs a week. $240 for one academic year. Gotta love my college campus.
