Hi, i'm sorry if this was asked before, but I could't find it. I installed 2G of ram from crucial.com and the computer is only recognizing 1G of this. Has anybody encountered this problem?

Make sure the ram is all the way in. Either that or one of the sticks is a dud.

Like wytwolf said, make sure it is installed all the way. I would recommend running Memtest if you do get it to recognize the second stick to make sure that you have no bad sectors.

thank you so much you two. It was my stupid fault because I didn't mount it properly. I didn't have the cajones to push one of them all the way in because I thought it was going to break.

'about this mac' is now reading 2 Gb of ram. thanks!
