My MB Black 2.0GHZ C2D won't recognize the battery at all.

The battery meter has a black X over it, and the drop down memory says "No batteries available". Also, the battery itself shows no signs of life when I press the button on the underside. My Magsafe plug glows green.

I followed all the steps in this article from Apple Support:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305364

I'm running 10.4.10 and have the battery 1.2 update.

I also reset the PMU.

Any other suggestions, or should I take it down to Apple and get a new battery?

Sounds like a case for replacement. My battery suddenly became unrecognizable to the computer even though the battery light on the bottom of the computer was on. I took it in and they gave me a new replacement battery for free.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I took it down to the Apple store yesterday and they replaced the battery. I was there for all of 5 minutes, nice and painless.
