Well, it was a strange experience and I'm not quite sure what to make of it.
First, they had us gather around to watch some videos and also hear about Apple, where the company is going, and what the Apple Store experience is like. Then, they broke us up into groups and we paired up with partners and interviewed each other for 5 minutes. We then re-grouped with our assigned group and had 3 minutes to talk about the person we interviewed. 3 minutes is a lot of time to fill up, but I think I did a pretty good job. I talked about the guy seamlessly and was clear and concise. I also thought my voice carried well - something others had issues with.
When we were done, the associates conferred with each other and came back out. They gave a few people their business cards, including myself, and said they needed the others to stay because they needed more paperwork from them.
Now, is this the, "Here's my business card, don't call us, we'll call you," trick where they get everyone else to stay and start filling out W-2's and tax forms for the job? It seems really random and as the few of us were ushered out, I didn't really feel like I was given the opportunity to ask what comes next in the process.
It was really weird and I don't know what to make of it. Chances are, if I'm feeling this way, perhaps I did not get the consideration...
