Hey guys,
My friend has a iBook G4,and just today while loading video from his camcorder the fire wire lost connection with the computer,and will not re-connect. When he tries different cables,and even different fire wire devices the computer does not detect them. He tried a couple different things,and several re-boots,and still has no fire wire connection. Do you have any idea where to go from here? Should he try to re-install the operating system,and other programs? He doesn't have the disks with him currently,but will later when he gets home. If he goes into system profiler it say the firewire is there,and showing up to 400mb per/sec.Any help would be appreciated.
