how do I unarchive .sab files, or other uncommon archive file types that would otherwise be covered by winrar in windows, but isn't covered by stuffit expander or other popular mac archiving programs?

Thanks

Welcome to Mac-Forums, filino.

I'm not so sure a .sab file is an archived file. From a quick google query, it seems it's a CAD related file so it seems you would need a CAD application to open the file.

But then I stumbled upon a wikipedia entry which says that there is some kind of support in OS X Tiger for this type of file, provided you installed Xcode and some kind of compiler?

Apple® OS X 10.4
(Native BSD)
GNU C++ gcc 4.0 and XCode 2.3

So to resume: I'm really not too sure what all this means. LOL

thanks guys...I tried the unarchiving program you suggested, but no luck...I think it might just be a random type of archive that developers have missed when creating mac versions...there are definitely a few out there...
