Okay, here's the deal. I use an external LCD monitor with my Macbook Pro. Once in a day or two, I disconnect my external monitor and connect my tv monitor using Apples s-video/rca-to-dvi adaptor in order to watch video content on my much larger tv monitor.
Is there anyway to avoid the necessary daily conenction/disconnection?
I know http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/support/mac/home.php is a nice (albeit pricey) solution for connecting multiple external monitors to MBP (are there other solutions?) but as far as I can tell, it requires that both monitors have the same resolution, which is no good for the case of an LCD display and a TV monitor, that's IF I can get it to even work with the matrox through an RCA-to-VGA or something.
Besides buying a TV with DVI connection and going with the matrox, are there any other options?
