I have/had a Macbook Intel version. The computer was dying because my nephew dropped it. Thank God I back up every night. I have all of my pics and everything else saved on a Maxtor external drive. Last night the Mac was dropped by my nephew again (4 year olds) (where was the supervision) and the computer is worthless. According the Apple Store, it cannot be repaired. I have all of my stuff on the hard drive and want to move it to my pc. But it is formatted for Mac and it says "cannot be moved". What can I do?

Did you use MacDrive on Windows? That allows for reading and writing HFS partitions within Windows.

Like I said, MacDrive (google "Macdrive mac"). Also try HFS explorer which is a free software and good enough for a one time use..
