Building a home network

We have two macs accessing the internet and an external hard drive via an Airport Extreme. Under these conditions, is it possible for the MBP to access files on the iMac?

If you set up file sharing, yes. I believe its under System Prefs -> Sharing -> Files or something like that. I'm not on my Mac right now.. You may even be able to right click and click Sharing...
