Hi,

this is probaly a really simple question but when my iMac wakes from sleeping or screensaver how do I get it so the user login screen appears first, like when switching the comp on.

cheers

Cheers for that. I now have to enter my password after screensaver to get back to osx. I would imagine that to get to another user I would have to type in there name and there password. Is there anyway that once screensaver/imac wakes it goes to the login screen and you just choose user login pic (like xp), or is this not possible in os x?

cheers

No need to worry I did'nt have fast user switching enabled.

Go to...

System Prefs>>> Accounts>>> Login Options (May need to Unlock/authenticate for this to be available) >>> Click "List of Users" under the "Display login window as:" section.

Please excuse Ride, he's simple.

It sounds like you want to be logged out when the screen saver comes on or your system sleeps. This gives you the option of logging in as someone else.
To do that you'd once again use the Security preference pane. Turn on "log out after X minutes of inactivity". Set that X to the screen saver delay.

This essentailly turns off your screen saver, since it logs you out just as the SS starts. And you will have to log back in as soon as that happens.
