Posted the below text from another thread I started; got no replies from anyone who read it in the "Switchers" subforum; thought I'd try here and see if I get a nibble from those who read it ... Here goes:

Question for those who use and know the DVD player on iMacs - I know that it has closed-captioning, but how does it look? Does it display text at the bottom in a white font with a black box behind the text itself, or is the text shown with a slight shadow behind each letter? Also, how is DVD playback with the captions on? Is it silky smooth? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm deaf myself and need captions to understand what's being said onscreen. Thanks.

Any takers? Thanks in advance to whoever responds.
