The PowerBook comes with S-Video and composite video out, meaning you cand send video from the PowerBook to a television, but not the other way around.

At least, not without an add-on like this http://www.elgato.com/

Quick Question: Do the ibooks or powerbooks have a microphone jack?

Powerbooks do.
I don't think all models of iBooks do but you will have to look at the spec sheets on that

According to the manual that came with my Powerbook, they only have a line-level input... not a mic-level one. They do have a mic built into the case, though.

I use the built in one in classes with Word 2004 recording and it works great for me. I use the voice chat in iChat when i dont have my iSight and i am perfectly happy with it

Yeah seems to work pretty good for me also.

I'll tell you on Monday when my replacement arrives :)

I've always preferred headsets, especially for talking over the Internet which I find useful sometimes... however I've never had the pleasure of trying a built-in mic on something as high quality as a Mac so will have to see.
