Boot up time

Ever since I put a parition on my hd it has been kind of slow for boot up like the apple symbol won't show for about a minute or so.

Same thing happened to me when I used boot camp to have XP. Try this:

1. turn off the mac
2. push the power button
3. IMMEDIATELY press command+alt+p+r
4. keep holding the keys until your hear the chime about 2 or three times
5. let is boot up and restart it, it should be a little quicker.

Before I did this it took my laptop 56 seconds to fully boot up, now about 30 seconds!
