Utilities gone!

I have just tried to use grab - went into my applications folder to see that my utilities folder had dissapeared, yet I didnt delete it.

I searched using spotlight for utilities and for grab and nothing came up - anyone else have this problem or know how I can get them back?

Either insert your restore disk and do a custom install of the Utilities folder and apps or if this doesn't work, use Pacifist to extract just the Utilities package from the restore disk.

I dont have either of those things - any other alternatives?
