Tethering blackberry 8100 EDGE to Mac

Hi,
I am a first time user of mac and would appreciate if some one could help me with tethering a blackberry 8100g (pearl) with a mac. Is it possible?

Sorry i meant tethering so that you can use the blackberry for internet access and also i have used the pocket mac sync do you know how to backup the blackberry

Thanks i tried with 10.4 intel and 8100 but it says connecting in the status for more than 10 mins and nothing happens. Maybe i dont know the right apn for airtel service in India i tried both apn as wap.airtelgprs.com and blackberry.net which the guys told me
