Cd driver problem

I got a really annoying problem i put in a cd and after a few minuets it spits it all out again. That happens when i burn a cd too and the cd gets destroyed. sometimes after 5-8 tries it works but often then the mac will freeze. Could someone help me with this?

do you have the latest update? i think its call superdrive firmware update 2.1. you can also try cleaning the lens with a cd cleaner. it does sound like a bad drive so if you are still under warranty, take it to Apple. hope this helps
