ppc applications on intel mac

17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3
Yes it's totally ok. Intel macs use a thing called Rosetta to emulate the old PPC apps. But it's all behind the scenes to all you'll notice is your ppc apps a tiney but slower on the intel mac than in they were on a G5. But this slowdown is barely noticeable on my 17 inch imac. They all run like a dream.

Per the8thark, Rosetta handles most of these seamlessly. So, try it out... I have read a few reports where things don't work perfectly, but they are the exceptions, not the rule.
