Is there a way to wire in a connector to an unused car AUX input and connect an iPod...cheaply?

Here's what I'm planning on using:

aux-pod

It lets you control the iPod with your stock stereo. I wouldn't really call it cheap, though. It's just the only thing I've found so far.

I had to do it with an IPBus or something like that connected to the AUX on the radio...then that has 2 RCA outs and I used the Monster cable for RCA to mini-stereo into the iPod.
I have a Pioneer head unit, btw. Maybe there is something similar for your HU?

I found a wireless device by Monster. It cost $60 but you select an unused FM channel. It also charges the IPOD. Works great.
