Best Apps for a Newbie

Hi,

Im a recent convert, just last week actually & I thought I'd just share a few app's I've found really usefull.

MIRO is a great little video app that allows you to watch most video formats, also will download direct from youtube etc

HANDBREAK is great if you have a dvd collection & would like to convert to watch on your ipod. very simple.

TRANSMISSION is probebly the best torrent application I've found, again very simple just drag & drop

But...QUICKSILVER has to be the star! it basically a application launcher & finder, once you've used it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it, its fantastic. Maybe check out youtube for a quick tutorial on setup etc, its worth it.

As I say im a Newbie myself so If anyone else has any suggestion for what I could check out that would be great

This is what a dude at work gave to me on disc, although I haven't used a few of them, but HE says they're great.

Mac the Ripper for ripping DVD's
Popcorn to burn movies
Acquisition for songs (and other stuff, but lots of porn, so I don't like it too much)
Transmission for torrents is super easy
UnRAR - apparently "puts DVD's back together"
