Creating A New Image Is Like Creating A System Restore Point On Windows?

Hey sorry guys, I just want to know about backing up ect..

I was told if I create an image its like setting a system restore point?

Correct?

I've backed up my HDD anyway.. but I was still wondering.

It depends on what time of backup you're creating and what program you used to back it up. I highly recommend SuperDuper (which can be downloaded from MacUpdate.com), it requires an external drive and it makes a full bootable copy of your hard drive.

System restore points in Windows just creates a "snapshot" of your driver configuration and system registry, so it's really not much like a backup at all.
