Hey everyone yesterday when I was using my iphone it started to get very warm on the back. I had only been using for a few minutes. Has anyone else had this happen?

My phone does get hot on occasion, but i've always just shrugged it off thinking it was just retaining heat from my hands..

mine got very warm today after upgrading to 2.1 last night - no question in my mind that the two things are linked... Reset and it seems OK now??

excessive use seems to warm it up for me eg. Large downloads or long chats

OK, so how do we fix the problem? Mine gets hot after 15mins of use. Whether it's talking, web browsing, FB updates, etc. I doubt it has anything to do with the silicone case.

It gets hot to the point where my hands hurt. Almost as if the phones radiant heat is cooking my hand. It has to be the phone because it's only my hand that I hold the phone with that hurts in the joints and the bones when I make a fist. Like I punched a wall without the bruising and discoloration.

Is the phone defective where I need to replace the battery or something? Any suggestions?
