Computers really don't become obsolete the day you take them out of the box... Of course your maxed out MBP will run it!!
btw, how come all the extra RAM on the top of the line MBP but put only a 4200RPM HD in it? There's a bottleneck if I ever saw one.

I run wow on my Macbook (NON-Pro). The old 2.0Ghz C2D Blackbook.

It runs okay... integrated graphics doesn't give me much to look at.

But on the topic of over heating I have never had any problems (keep in mind the macbook has 1 fan while the MBP has TWO.

I used to see temps of 70-75 degrees Celsius while playing, but I think due to patches optimizing graphics on the macs, I have started to see temps of 80-85. Not what I like to see, but nothing to cause alarm. The fan runs full speed and I use a targus cooling pad underneath it for a little air circulation on the case.

I hear the MBP ripes wow to SHREDS! Have fun! :)

Have played many multi-hour sessions of WoW on my 2.33 MBP and not the video card you have either.
