Recent switcher here..
Does Garageband come with all the loops that you can find in the loop browser? I followed the procedure in the help file to install the loops, but I only have access to about 35% of them. I see the other loops (i.e. 70's Power Ballad, etc) but when I select them, I am told to install the loops again. It's a little hard to record acoustic music with only "Motown" , "Club Beat" or "Latin Combo" drum tracks!!

I'm running a MacBook 2.0Ghz, 2gig ram, all recent software updates installed.
Any advice is appreciated!

Try putting in the 2nd disc that came with your computer.

I mean, when you try to download the loops out of Garageband, it should give you 3 options. The third one mentions a DVD; the 2nd Install Disc is the right disc.

yea this is correct, the second os x install disk should contain all the loops etc,

Just choose option 3 and insert the disk it should install everything (save anything you are doing as it does require you to quit garageband during install & restart.

Hope this helps

If I already selected "Download from the internet" can I still put the DVD in instead?
