I am checking what is taking space on my macbook, and I found a 2GB sleepimage. I have no idea really what that is, and if it is anything useful. Should I delete it?
Thank you

From my understanding, the sleepimage is the file that OS X uses to swap the contents of your RAM into when it goes to sleep. So basically when your Macbook goes to sleep, it takes the content of your RAM and stores it in this file. I would suggest keeping that file.

I use WhatSize to see what's taking up space on my Macbook: http://www.id-design.com/software/whatsize/index.php It works great!

the file will be automatically deleted when you shut down or restart. But then it will be recreated the next time you put your computer to sleep...
