itunes automaticly chopping my music

for some reason, when i open a song on itunes, after a couple of seconds later it would begin to chop it up, and add small samples of my other songs in my library on to it and just chop it up wierdly

things ive done on my mac latly

1. updated itunes to 7.4
2. imported some of my new music
