Reset IP address

2.0 GHz iMac Core 2 Duo with 2.5 gigs of RAM
Is it possible to reset my IP address without rebooting the modem and computer (which is the current way I do it)? Thanks.

Go to system preferences > Network. Then double click the network connection in question > Go to TCP/IP > Renew DHCP lease. and apply now.

As for your modem iP, yes you have to restart the modem...
