hiding open apps from the dock?

hey!

i have adium running on my mac, and i like the way it uses the menu bar on top to display its mini icon. but still it appears on the dock as well. since my dock is pretty full i would like to remove adium from it without having to quit it, is that possible?

Dockless does that, however it hasn't been updated since Panther so I'm unsure if it will work for an Intel.
