Silly question

How much weight can a macbook screen take before it breaks?

I am in a debate with someone about it,

I'm guessing 30lbs?

It would depend partly on how the weight is distributed. 30LBs on a small point in the center would almost certainly crack it. Distributed across the whole of the screen, though, it might not.

I'm pretty sure that, if you were to call Apple, they'd say, "Don't put anything on the screen."

lol im sure they would.. how much weight would you look at putting on ti and why.
