EDIT:

Sounds like apple is shipping them to their stores before they ship out the pre orders. In my opinion that is really stupid and i'm not happy with apple if that is the case.

I actually pre-ordered mine as soon as I could get back on the apple store after the keynote, but when I heard my apple store had them in, I called apple and asked them to cancel my order, and I just went and bought it at the store.

Yeah, I cancelled my online order, took all of 5 seconds, and ran to the local Apple store to grab one last night.

Hey JPerry, I saw that you are from Austin. Where did you buy you iPod Touch? I called The Domain, and they did not have any yet, and I was told from a friend that Barton Creek doesn't have any either. I had ordered mine online and just want it now rather than waiting whenever apple decides to finally ever ship it.

I cancled my order, went to the store today. All sold out. Was very mad, went to Best Buy because they have them aswell. Sold out.

Not very happy.

on the apple website it says that the itouch comes with a stand, is this the ipod universal dock or ?

No, it's a little plastic piece that allows the touch to stand on its side. Pretty chincy, too.

sweeet. nice one. if i invented the ipod touch i would put a ton of more memory in it. 16g ? the ipod classic has 10X that ammount! ?

If you added more memory, one of two things would have happened. One, the Touch wouldn't be such a sleek and sexy device with a hard drive bulking the thing up, and also killing the battery life on a device with such a large screen. Or second, the Touch would cost 10x as much since flash memory isn't exactly cheap. ;P
