how to show track names when burning CDs in iTunes

I have been backing up a lot of my music recently and popped one in to check it and realized none of the album info was saved when I burned it...why does that happen and how do I ensure the information is always burned with the tracks? thanks.

It sounds as though you don't have "Automatically retrieve CD track names from internet" checked under iTunes>preferences>advanced>importing.
