"This software cannot be installed on this computer"

hi folks!

Im trying to re-install osx 10.4 on my macbook core 2 duo and when I boot from the dvd this waring text comes up "Alert - This software cannot be installed on this computer". I have erased the harddrive and have tried to erase it with zeros, nothing seems to work.
Anyone have a clue?

its a black macbook core 2 duo 2 ghz with 2 gb of ram.

Is it the correct disc? OSX discs are specific to the model of machine they are delivered with.

Yes, it´s the same disc that came with the computer.

You might try what I just had success with. Find another Macbook of the same vintage, and connect the bad macbook to the good one via firewire. Boot up the bad one in firewire mode (restart and hold down the T key), and put your installer disk in the good machine. Launch the installer and select the firewire drive as the destination disk.
