1. Print screen (capture the image)
2. Print out document (hard copy)
3. Re-scan document using OCR (convert image into text)

This may sound primitive, but it's the most obvious way.

Why would you want to compile such a list?

Uh...

Just select all the items in that folder, Copy,
and then Paste in TextEdit, Word or any application.

So obvious it makes ya wonder why you didn't think of it. ;p

Additionally, if you drag those items directly into an open TextEdit window, you get a list of the full paths of those items.

note: Do not drag those items onto TextEdit's Dock icon though; that'll try to open all those items in TextEdit. (see: bad)

alright, i'm not sure if my wording has thrown you off, but i'm looking to 'catalog'. I'm looking for a few control options, such as how much detail on the file is included.

I have found some useful applications such as 'simple cataloger2', but none that are free.

Does anyone have any freeware applications they can suggest?

Also, is there a simple script available for this?
