I have ripped a couple Dvd's I own to my hard drive using Mac The Ripper. I want to put those dvd's on an IPOD video. The videos are in a Video_TS format on my hard drive. How can I transfer those to an Ipod? Do i need a seperate program to do that or would it be easiet to just re-rip the dvd into the right format using a different program? Thanks for your help!

Or you could get Roxio's Popcorn, which isn't as clever as handbrake and costs money, but is very simple to use. You'd select the video_ts folder you have, tell it to convert to iPod standard or High (if you want to watch it on a TV at some point), then sit back for a good few hours. There's a lot of number crunching and even on a fst mac it's a slow process.

I think even Handbrake has standard iPod/iPhone settings to make good conversion easy.

Handbrake would be the best bet.

I've used Handbrake 0.9 to put just about all my DVD's in iTunes to watch on my iPod/iPhone. Works great!

Instant Handbrake is even easier -- no settings to fool with. Or try iSquint.

True. Another nice Handbrake feature I really like it the ability to queue conversions. I can stick in a DVD with multiple episodes on it and set the queue to spit out each one to a differently named file. Makes the import process very nice when you start it before work in the morning and come home to find everything converted and ready to import to iTunes.
