iPod video max fps? help!

MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz, 160 gig HDD @ 5400, 2 gig RAM, nVIDIA 8600
why wont video transfer over to my ipod? It is in quicktime H.256. Could it be because the FPS are too high? The max FPS on the apple site is listed as 30, but is that just what it can display? Or is that what the player can support? Thank you very much!

I don't think so. Can you even convert to H.264 at anything higher than 30fps?

i set it to same as source in handbrake for fps, but when it was actually ripping it had the FPS at around 40
