Hi,
I am attempting to disable processors on my Mac Pro using the processor control panel that was installed as part of the CHUD tools package (the reason being is that I'm trying to play Myst III: Exile, and I heard that disabling a core was supposed to help with playback of videos in that game and others). However, when I disable even a single one of the four CPUs, the computer starts lagging excessively. Is this supposed to happen? I thought the extra processors kick in when one is too taxed, but what do I know? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
