I am trying to transfer data (mainly video files) from my Lacie external HD to my Mac OSX 10.4.10 and keep receiving the error code -36 that some data could not be read. I discovered that the Lacie is formatted for Fat32 and this may be the problem. Does anyone know how I can get my data off of the Lacie so that I can re-format it to Mac-OSX? Thanks!

I had the same problem with my external drive and trying to transfer my Parallels folder both manually transferring and using Superduper. I believe it's the size of one large contiguous file that's the issue because a 12gig folder of music transfers like gold.

Is it a Fat32 problem? I'm not too sure either. I was thinking of formatting the drive in HFS+ and trying it.
