Webmail on iTouch?

Does the new iTouch iPod with WiFi, Safari, and a keyboard mean one can send and receive webmail (Gmail, etc.)?

i use tmail and I think i am going to have to go to my tmobile account and log into it :( to send/receive emails

If it [Gmail] works in Safari on Mac OS X and does not require Flash, it'll run on Safari for iPod touch.

Gmail works in Safari on my iPhone, so it will work on the iPod Touch.
