I have the trial version of photoshop CS3 and I think it's wonderful, but it expires in 2 days and it's too expensive for me to buy. I've tried iPhoto, but when I save my work the changes don't show up like I mentioned in my previous post "iPhoto help". Does anyone have any reccomendations for a free image editing software for mac osx?

Sure, have a look at this list:

Photoshop Elements
Photoshop CS3 (...of course, but you know that already!)

GraphicConverter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/xd/public/c...lkPTE5Mw_.html)

GIMP (www.gimp.org)

ImageWell (http://xtralean.com/IWOverview.html)
ChocoFlop (http://www.chocoflop.com)
PhotoComplete (www.funkypixels.com)
Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net)

LiveQuartz (http://www.rhapsoft.com)

...and of course...

iPhoto (which has quite a nice set of editing tools)

I've used/tried iPhoto and preview to rotate my photos, but when i open them back up after i've saved them they aren't the same rotaion.

Have you checked out Picassa from google? I think it's mac compatible now and does a good job.
