i know this has been discussed in several threads...but i have flip4mac, vlc player and windows media player for mac yet there are clips that won't play on my imac.
any particular reason why? or how i can sort that out?

There are some windows codecs which haven't been ported to mac yet. Not much you can do about it unless you're a programmer.

WM9 works fine on Flip4Mac. WM10 and WM11 don't, end of story. It's really down to lack of support for HD and DRM in these codecs.

Most sites offer RealPlayer or QT versions of videos, but if one you like doesn't, take the take to email them and complain - especially if its a pay site.
