Videos wont go on iPod

OK. So I'm using Handbrake to rip dvds to movie files so that I can put them on my video ipod.

The conversion settings are correct but for some reason when I drag the file (in itunes) over my ipod it doesnt work. But when I do it with my friends the file goes onto his ipod.

Why isn't my ipod taking the video?

Your Ipod may not be set up for manually managing music and videos. it is one of the main options on your iPod home screen.

Your problem seems a bit unusual...have you tried syncing videos by not using the manual mode? Also, is there enough space on your iPod? And finally, I guess you could try restoring your iPod, as that can help some goofy problems.
